The Orangerie Museum
Unique of its kind: this is know six great intellectuals recently described the museum which was chosen and fittedout by Claude Monet to turn it into the jewel oh his testamentary masterpiece. Similar to the Nympheas (The water Lillies), refuge for a placid meditation offered to modern man whose nevers are in shreds, the Orangerie presents the splendid concentration of masterpieces from the Jean Walter and Paul Guillaume Collection, a highly original representation of modern art from Cezane and Renoir to Picasso, through to Le Douanier, Rousseu, Matisse, Derain, Modigliani. |
