Built in 1931 for the International Colonial Exhibition, the Porte Dorée Palace offers the public its famous Tropical Aquarium which has been continuously renovated from 1985; but also the hall of Honor, the lounges Lyautey and Reynaud and the ballroom. The Porte Dorée Palace is remarkable example of the Art Deco style, as much as for its architecture (Alfred Laprade) as for its external and internal decoration (bas-reliefs of Alfred Janniot)
